This petition is filed by the petitioners/appellants to amend the cause title in the above Writ Appeal.

Heard Mrs.Hema Muralikrishnan, learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the petitioners/appellants, who submitted that M/s.Cairn India Ltd. took over the respondent concern viz., M/s.Cairn Energy India Pvt. Ltd. vide scheme of amalgamation sanctioned by the Bombay High Court in Company Petition No.155 of 2010 dated 22.06.2010 and thereafter, M/s.Cairn India Ltd. has been merged into “M/s.Vedanta Ltd.”, by order dated 23.03.2017 passed by the NLCT, Mumbai. Owing to the said merger, the respondent's jurisdictional assessing officer would be “The Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle 25(1), CR Building, I.P. Estate, New Delhi”. Accordingly, the name of the respondent and the appellant in this petition needs to be amended.
3. In view of the above, this petition is ordered as prayed for.
4. Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the case papers, with respect to the cause title.
