Hon’ble B.S.Verma, J.
Heard Sri H.M.Bhatia, Advocate, holding brief of Sri Arvind Vashist, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri K.P.Upadhyay, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents and perused the record.
This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to issue arm licence applied by the petitioner.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the application of petitioner for grant of arm licence is pending for disposal since 1-6-2007 before the respondent no.2.
In the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner has urged that the ends of justice would be subserved if the Collector is directed to decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arm licence within a time bound period. Prayer is innocuous.
The Collector/District Magistrate, Nainital is directed to decide the application moved by the petitioner for issue of arm
licence (Annexure No.1) expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
of finally.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed
All pending applications stand disposed of.
