Since we have held in connected cases that deposits
in post office under the Indira Vikas Pathra and Kisan VikasPathra schemes are only investments and not loans or advancesand consequently interest received thereon on such deposits willnot attract liability for tax under the Interest Tax Act, we dismissthis appeal also filed by the Revenue raising the same questions.
