PRAYER : Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of theConstitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, todirect the first respondent to release the jewellery seized fromthe petitioner as per KRS/J/S dated 04.07.2006 and 05.07.2006.

3. Today Mr.V.S.Jayakumar, learned counsel for thepetitioner filed a copy of the proceedings of the Income TaxOfficer, Ward 1(4), Tuticorin dated 14.12.2011. By the saidorder, the Income Tax Officer has directed the release of thejewelry as per annexure KRS/J/S dated 04.07.2006.
4. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudicationin this writ petition, hence, it is closed. However, if thereis any difficulty later on, it is always open to the petitionerto come back.
