On perusal of the affidavit in support, we find that the approval for filing appeal was granted by Chief CIT on 12.04.2005. Thereafter the matter was sent to the Ministry of Law for drafting the appeal memo. The appeal ultimately, however, came to be drafted sometime just prior to 8.11.2006. The period from 12.4.2005 to 8.11.2006 has not been properly explained. Cause shown is therefore, not sufficient cause. Hence, Notice of Motion dismissed.
