Challenge in the petition is to orders dated 29.4.2011 and10.5.2011 passed by the Assessing Officer under the provisions of theIncome Tax Act, 1961 (‘the Act’) allowing the petitioner to pay tax dues byinstallments mentioned therein. We are of the view that order passed by the assessing authorityunder section 220 of the Act does not call for any interference. However, in the facts and circumstances of the case, the appeal filed by the petitionerwhich is said to be pending with the CIT(A) Chandigarh may beexpeditiously decided preferably within three months from the date ofreceipt of a copy of this order.
