This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to therespondents to return the amount of Rs.1,12,000/-together with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. from the dateof seizure i.e. 23.12.1987 till the date of payment.
When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learnedcounsel for the petitioner has fairly submitted that theamount sought to be refunded has already been refundedto the petitioner.
In that view of the matter, the relief claimed in the writpetition stands already granted, as such, no further ordersare required to be passed in the writ petition.
Hence, the writ petition is closed. No order as tocosts.
As a sequel to the closure of the writ petition,Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall standdisposed of as infructuous.
