ORDER:(Per Hon’ble Sri Justice Ramesh Ranganathan)
This writ petition is filed questioning the failure of the 1[st]respondent to take up and dispose of the application filed by thepetitioner on 21.10.2014, under Section 154(8) of the Income Tax Act,1961, for rectification of the mistakes in the assessment order dated30.11.2011 for the assessment year 2006-07.
Sri J.V. Prasad, learned senior standing counsel for the Income-Tax Department, has placed before us a copy of the proceedings of theDeputy Commissioner, Income-Tax, Vijayawada, dated 03.11.2015,partly rectifying the earlier order. A copy of the said order is alsohanded over to Sri P. Girish Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner,during the course of hearing today.
Consequently, the writ petition has become infructuous and, is,accordingly dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shallalso stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
