O R D E R:- (per Hon’ble Sri Justice G. Chandraiah)
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to therespondents to return the amount of Rs.5,92,241/-together with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. from the dateof seizure i.e. 23.12.1987 till the date of payment andfurther direction to the 3[rd] respondent-Bank to release theamounts lying in Account No.17218 to the credit of the 1[st]petitioner.
When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learnedcounsel for the petitioners has fairly submitted that theamount sought to be refunded has already been refundedto the petitioners. This is also evident from the docketorder dated 27.01.2006 passed by this Court that threecheques were handed over to the learned counsel for thepetitioners.
In that view of the matter, the relief claimed in the writpetition stands already granted, as such, no further ordersare required to be passed in the writ petition.
Hence, the writ petition is closed. No order as tocosts.
As a sequel to the closure of the writ petition,
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall standdisposed of as infructuous.
