1. The sole grievance of the petitioner is that application filed bythe petitioner under Section 154 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 dated29.10.2020 be directed to be decided within a specific period oftime.
2. Learned counsel for the Department states that if the aforesaidapplication of the petitioner has still not been decided then thesame shall be decided within a period of six weeks.
3. Under such circumstances, without entering into the merit ofthe claim of the petitioner, we direct that application of thepetitioner dated 29.10.2020 pending before the Income TaxDepartment be decided within a period of six weeks from the dateof presentation of a certified copy of this order, if the same is notalready decided.
4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
