Taliban Sanctions List Update 2026: Section 51A UAPA Compliance for Banks

The RBI has issued a critical compliance directive on 31 July 2026 updating the UN Taliban Sanctions List under Section 51A of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 1967. All regulated financial entities must immediately verify their customer accounts against 5 amended entries to ensure strict adherence to anti-terror financing norms.
